Philip C. Strick,
CFP, ChFC, QFP
Philip C. Strick, Jr. is the President and co-owner of LifePlans
Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. He is a Registered
Principal and Managing Executive with Royal Alliance Associates,
Inc. Phil earned his undergraduate degree in Business and
Economics from the University of the Pacific, and his master's
degree from San Francisco State University. Phil is a CERTIFIED
FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®), a Chartered Financial
Consultant (ChFC), a Qualified Financial Planner (QFP) and
has been a member of the Institute of Registered Financial
Planners (IRFP), and is currently an active member of the
Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) and the Financial
Planners Association (FPA).
Phil is an "Invited Lecturer" to colleges, universities and
civic organizations throughout California. He regularly speaks
on topics regarding current investments, financial planning
and retirement planning. Phil has been in the financial services
industry since 1975.
Phil has also been a Due Diligence Review Officer and is
responsible for insuring companies perform as represented,
and has reviewed companies seeking association with LifePlans.
Phil has been a high school and college teacher for more
than 12 years in both Northern and Southern California, most
recently teaching Financial Planning at Cypress College. He
is also a retired officer with the U.S. Army Reserves.
James Bogdan
Chairman of the Board
James V. Bogdan is the Chairman of the Board and co-owner
of LifePlans Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. He is
also a Registered Principal and Bonus Group Manager with Royal
Alliance Associates, Inc. Jim earned his BA degree from San
Francisco State University in 1967 and his MA degree in Education
from Stanford University in 1968. He holds the Series 7, 24,
51, 63, and 65 registrations from the FINRA.
Mr. Bogdan began his career as a high school teacher and
coach in the San Mateo Union High School District. In 1971
he became securities and insurance licensed and offered financial
services to his fellow teachers and staff members on a part-time
basis. In 1982 Jim was offered a full time position with the
securities firm he was employed by as their Bay Area
Regional Manager and he left the teaching profession.
In his current position, he still spends a great deal of time
teaching and training, just to a different set of
students.
In 1984 Mr. Bogdan was promoted and relocated to Newport
Beach where he eventually became President of the securities
firm. In September, 1996 he and his partner, Mr. Philip Strick,
struck a deal with the owners of the firm to buy the marketing
arm of the broker/dealer and, thus, LifePlans Financial
& Insurance Services was born. At LifePlans Jim's
primary responsibilities include recruiting, administrative
and accounting functions, and solving various daily business
issues that arise. In his capacity as a Managing
Executive of Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. he oversees
branch office inspections.
