James Bogdan
Chairman of the Board

James V. Bogdan is the Chairman of the Board and co-owner of LifePlans Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. He is also a Registered Principal and Bonus Group Manager with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. Jim earned his BA degree from San Francisco State University in 1967 and his MA degree in Education from Stanford University in 1968. He holds the Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 registrations from the FINRA.

Mr. Bogdan began his career as a high school teacher and coach in the San Mateo Union High School District. In 1971 he became securities and insurance licensed and offered financial services to his fellow teachers and staff members on a part-time basis. In 1982 Jim was offered a full time position with the securities firm he was employed by as their Bay Area Regional Manager and he left the teaching profession.  In his current position, he still spends a great deal of time teaching and training, just to a different set of students.

In 1984 Mr. Bogdan was promoted and relocated to Newport Beach where he eventually became President of the securities firm. In September, 1996 he and his partner, Mr. Philip Strick, struck a deal with the owners of the firm to buy the marketing arm of the broker/dealer and, thus, LifePlans Financial & Insurance Services was born. At LifePlans Jim's primary responsibilities include recruiting, administrative and accounting functions, and solving various daily business issues that arise.  In his capacity as a Managing Executive of Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. he oversees branch office inspections.
